Dibba Rotti

Bored of normal Idli, try this crispy, tasty, different recipe with Idli batter…………….

This is one of the very common breakfast in Andhra, let’s try this…

Dibba Rotti :

Ingredients:

Idli Batter : 3-4 cups ( Add Salt to taste)
Finely chopped Onions : 1 cup
Finely chopped Green Chilies:  4-5 nos.
Jeera : 1 tsp

Method:

Dibba Rotti is prepared in thick bottomed kadai, you can also use non stick kadai to make this.
Take a deep thick bottomed kadai. Pour 3-4 tsps of oil from sides of the kadai, allow it to heat on a medium flame.

Take 2-3 ladles of Idli batter and pour it in the kadai as shown in the picture. Sprinkle finely chopped onions, Green Chilies and jeera.

Close it with a lid and allow it to cook for 8-10 mins on low flame. If you are using non-stick kadai, allow 6-7 mins to cook.

Once you see the edges are in red color, gently slide it and turn to the other side. Allow it to cook for 2-3 mins to get that crisp on the other side too.

Cut into wedges and serve hot with Coconut chutney.
