Potato Cheese Balls

My 4.5yr old daughter was bored of eating Potato cutlets, rolls, French fries every time. She wanted me to try something with Potatoes, Peas, no chilies and lots of cheese in it……………….. Experimented this new Cheese Balls and this turned out to be a super hit at home. I was on clouds when she graded me 10/10 for this dish.

Very simple but a delicious, mouth watering snacks for children and elders too J……

Potato Cheese Balls

Ingredients:

Boiled Potatoes: 3 large
Boiled Fresh Peas: 1/4 cup
Spring Onion : 1 chopped (Optional)
Tomato Ketchup: 2 tsps
Pepper Powder: ½ tsp
Corn Flour / Corn Starch : 2 tsps
Breadcrumbs: 1 cup
Grated Mozzarella Cheese :  ¼ cup
Oil for Deep Frying
Salt to taste

Method :
Mash the boiled Potatoes in a bowl and keep it aside. Take a non-stick pan, add 1 tsp of oil and fry the Spring Onions for 3-4 mins. Add boiled peas and mashed potatoes into the pan. Add 2 tsps of tomato ketchup to it. Add salt & Pepper to taste, mix well.  Divide the potato mixture in equal number of balls. Take each of these potato balls and flatten it on your palm, take grated cheese and place it in the center. Cover the grated cheese on all sides with potato. Cover it in the same way similar to how you stuff potato mixture for Aloo Paratha with the chapatti dough.

Take corn flour in a small bowl, add very little water to make corn starch. Dip the potato cheese balls in corn starch and roll them on the breadcrumbs. Repeat the same process for all the potato cheese balls.

Take a deep pan, pour the oil to heat. Fry the potato cheese balls in hot oil until brown. Drain the extra oil on a paper towel.  Serve hot, yummy Potato cheese balls to your loved ones………………………
