Punugulu - crispy fritters

A big question if it’s Saturday/Sunday for family evening snacks. Every time trying to think what new to make for evening snacks is been real brainstorming.
And you bet in rainy season, we just crave for hot Pakodas, bondas or bajjis with hot cup of Filter coffee. Hmmmmmmm sounds heaven! Let’s try something very simple and quick to cook one of the famous snacks prepared in most parts of Andhra,  Punugulu with Dosa batter.

Punugulu

Ingredients:
Dosa Batter : 3 cups
Rava or Suji : 1 cup
Jeera : 2 tsps
Onions : 1 cup finely chopped
Green Chilies : 2-3 nos.
Coriander/Curry leaves : 2 tsps
Salt to taste
Oil to fry

Method:
Mix finely chopped onions, green chilies, coriander, curry leaves, salt to taste and rava in Dosa batter. Leave this mixture for 10 mins to rest.
Heat the oil in deep pan and drop small dumplings of dosa mixture in the oil. Allow the dumplings to turn light brown.  Serve hot, spicy, crispy Punugulu with Pudina chutney.

NOTE : You can make around 25-30 nos. Punugulu with the above ingredients.
