Red Chutney or Kaaram - Absolutely No cooking....


The moment anyone tells Andhra food, we remember only Spicy chutneys, pickles or avakai, chutney pudi, super spicy chicken curry and not to forget the yummy n irresistible Hyderabad Biriyani. Gosh noting to beat this!!!!!
This month being Shravan, we will be trying only Veg dishes. Trying to learn really yummy Andhra chutneys from my Mother-in law this weekend. You give her any vegetable or vegetable skin she would just come up with this spicy tangy chutney. Hats of to her!!!
The Red Chutney or Kaaram is one of the awesome and very quick to make recipe. Absolutely No cooking at all…………… I know you must be wondering no cooking how that could be. You believe me it’s an ultimate super combination for hot Dosas and Idlis.

 

Red Chutney or Kaaram :

Ingredients:
Red Chilies : 8-10 nos.
Tomato : 3-4 nos. medium sized
Onions : 2-3 nos. medium sized
Salt to taste
Ginger - 1/2' piece 

Method:
Cut onions and Tomatoes, keep aside.  
Blend all the ingredients with little water to a smooth paste in a blender to get yummy spicy Red chilly kaaram.
Make hot Dosas,  just spread this Red Chilly Karam on it and sprinkle little oil on this and let this cook for 1-2 mins. It tastes heaven on this chill monsoon evenings!!!!!!!!!
