Rava Dosa

One of the favorite and hot selling dish in all Bangalore Sagars is Rava Dosa. One cannot resist the hot crispy Rava Dosa with yummy Coconut Chutney.
There are different varieties of making Rava Dosa. Let’s try quick and easy way to make Rava Dosa at home.

Rava Dosa :

Ingredients:
Rava or Sooji : 1 cup
Maida : 1 cup
Rice Flour : 1 cup
Curd : 1 cup
Onions : 2 nos. medium sized
 Green Chilies : 2-3 nos.
Jeera : 1 tsp
Coriander/Curry leaves : 2 tsps
Grated Coconut : 2 tsps
Water : 5 cups
Oil
Salt to taste
Method:
Finely chop Onions and Green Chilies. Mix Rava, Maida, Rice flour, curd and water to make smooth Dosa batter. Add all other ingredients to this batter and mix well. Leave the batter to rest for half an hour.
You will find the batter thickened since Rava would have absorbed the liquids. You may add more water to bring the Dosa batter to buttermilk consistency. Heat the non-stick Tawa on a medium flame. Take ladle full of batter and start pouring the batter on the Tawa to form a circle. You can then start filling up in the center, put few drops of oil on the Dosa and let it cook for 3-4 mins.

You can turn the Dosa to allow to cook the other side too. Hot, crispy Rava Dosa ready to relish with tangy Coconut Chutney…………..
